Cyrano
By: Edmond Rostand
Adapted by: Jeff Lowe
Directed By: Laura Hathaway
Alchemy is proud to present this adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac. Cyrano, a soilder in the Fench Army, is a brash, strong-willed woman of many talents. In addition to being a remarkable duelist, she is a gifted, joyful poet, as well as a musician. However, she has an extremely large nose, which causes her to doubt herself. This doubt prevents her from expressing love for her distant cousin, the beautiful and intellectual Roxane, as she believes that her ugliness would prevent her from the "dream of being loved by even an ugly woman."
